Author’s Attitude

Author’s attitude asks how the author feels about the subject: positive, negative, neutral, or cautious. The tone words in the answer must match the passage’s actual language. Mild passages get mild answers.

Example

Words like "unfortunately" and "overlooked" signal a critical attitude toward the standard view.
