Privacy Policy
Effective: October 6, 2026
LSATPathway ("we", "us") runs an LSAT preparation service at lsatpathway.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Plain version: we collect what we need to run the service, we don't sell your data, and the only third-party tracker on the site is the Meta Pixel, which we use to measure our own advertising.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name and email address. Your password is stored as a one-way hash — we can't see it.
- Study data. Your drill answers, practice test results, progress, and study plans, so the site can track your improvement and personalize your prep.
- Payment information. Paid plans are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them. We keep a record of your subscription status so we can grant the right access.
- Tutor applications. If you apply to become a tutor, we collect the information you submit (background, availability, bio) to review your application.
- Forum posts. Anything you post in the forums is visible to other signed-in users.
- Class recordings. Live classes held over Zoom may be recorded. Recordings are uploaded as unlisted YouTube videos so enrolled students can watch them later. We use Zoom's API to fetch recordings of our own classes and YouTube's upload API to publish them to our channel; the Google credentials for that upload belong to us, are stored on our server, and are never shared with or accessible to students.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms against forgery (httpOnly, same-site, secure in production).
Meta Pixel. We use the Meta Pixel to measure how our advertising performs (for example, whether someone who clicked an ad started a subscription). The Pixel loads from Meta's servers and may set cookies or use similar identifiers to attribute visits to our ads. It does not give us access to your Facebook account or identity. You can opt out of Meta's use of this data through your Facebook ad preferences or a browser tracker blocker; the site works fully without it.
How we use your information
- To provide and improve the prep service (accounts, progress tracking, classes, forums).
- To process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe.
- To respond to support requests and tutor applications.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run the site: our hosting provider, Stripe (payments), Zoom (class recordings), and Google/YouTube (uploading class recordings). We also disclose information if required by law.
Your choices and rights
- Access and correction. Email lsatpathway@gmail.com and we'll send you a copy of the personal data we hold or fix anything that's wrong.
- Deletion. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time via the same email. Forum posts you've made may remain but will be disassociated from your account on request.
- Marketing. We don't send marketing emails. Transactional emails (password resets, receipts) are part of the service.
Data retention
We keep your account and study data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to keep records (e.g. payment records for tax purposes).
Children
LSATPathway is for LSAT test-takers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and restricted server access — to protect your information. No method is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you by email.
