LSAT in 6 weeks: your countdown study plan

Your test date is fixed. This plan counts backward from it.

Who this plan fits

This plan fits if your test is 6 weeks away. Enough time to fix real weaknesses and get comfortable under timing, if the hours are real.

Hours per week

12 to 20 hours a week (estimate). If you cannot hit the range, extend the timeline instead of cramming. Cramming does not work on this test.

The phases

Weeks 1-3: build

Untimed fundamentals. LR question types one at a time, RC passage structure daily. Accuracy is the only metric.

Weeks 4-5: time it

Timed sections and full practice tests. One full test per week with same-day review of every miss.

Final week: taper

Cut volume in half. Light drilling, review notes, normal sleep. The work is already done.

Week by week

  1. Week 1: Diagnostic and a written plan. No plan, no progress.
  2. Week 2: Untimed fundamentals: LR types and RC structure.
  3. Week 3: Untimed fundamentals: LR types and RC structure.
  4. Week 4: Timed sections and full tests with same-day review.
  5. Week 5: Last full practice test. Review it hard, then ease off.
  6. Week 6: Test week. Taper, routine, sleep.
