Best free LSAT resources

You can prepare for the LSAT well without spending a dollar. The best official material is already free. Here is what is actually worth your time.

Start free: the diagnostic finds your baseline and the score converter translates practice scores to the real scale.

1. LSAC's free LawHub materials

The single best free resource. A free LawHub account includes four full official PrepTests in the real test interface, plus free drill sets with around 260 official Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension questions, hints, and explanations. Start here. Nothing third-party beats real questions.

2. Our free tools

We keep the essentials free: a full diagnostic that scores every question type, a free timed Logical Reasoning section, and a free full-length practice test. Use the diagnostic first so your study time goes to your weakest areas. Take the free diagnostic or browse the free prep hub.

3. Your public library

Libraries carry the major LSAT prep books, including official PrepTest collections. Free to borrow, and you get the same pages everyone else pays for. Ask about interlibrary loan if your branch does not have the title you want.

4. The LSAC fee waiver

If money is tight, the LSAC fee waiver is the most valuable free resource in this list. The top tier covers two LSAT registrations, CAS registration, and CAS law school reports. Apply through LSAC well before you plan to test.

What free cannot do

Free covers the materials. It does not cover structure or feedback. If you need a schedule to follow or someone to explain why you keep missing the same question type, that is what paid courses, books, and tutors sell. Be honest about which one you need before you spend.
