Starting LSAT prep in February 2027
The post-holiday reset: February is a quiet month in the LSAT cycle, which makes it a good month to build foundations with no pressure. If you are retaking after a January score you did not like, take one full week off first. Burnout does not produce points.
Your first four weeks
- Week 1: Review your last score report by question type. The pattern tells you what to fix.
- Week 2: Rebuild LR fundamentals untimed. Do not touch a timer until accuracy is solid.
- Week 3: Add RC passage-structure work: one passage a day, mapped, not rushed.
- Week 4: Pick your target test month and register when registration opens. A date on the calendar changes how you study.
Upcoming test dates
Upcoming tests you can still register for: June 9–12, 2027 (about 18 weeks out). See the LSAT test dates page for registration deadlines and the full schedule.
How many hours
8 to 12 hours a week is plenty. Consistency beats volume in February. Hours are an estimate. The right number is the one you can repeat every week without burning out.
Pick a test date early
Do not study toward "someday." A fixed test date changes every decision: how fast you move, when you start timing, when you taper. See the LSAT test dates page for the current schedule, then count backward from your date. If your runway is short, use the countdown plans matched to your exact weeks left.
