What is argument?

In LSAT terms, an argument is a set of statements where some (the premises) are offered as support for another (the conclusion).

Spotting the conclusion is the first skill: look for indicator words, but trust structure more than keywords.

Most Logical Reasoning questions are arguments, and most wrong answers attack something the argument never claimed.

If you cannot state the conclusion in your own words, you are not ready to evaluate the argument.

Related glossary entry: premise.
