What is method of reasoning question?
A method-of-reasoning question asks you to describe how the argument works.
The right answer describes the move in abstract terms: the argument offers a counterexample, draws an analogy, or shows that a general rule leads to an absurd result.
The trap answers describe methods the argument does not use, or describe the content instead of the method. Watch what the argument does, not what it says.
