What is phenomenon?
A phenomenon is an observed fact or event that needs explaining: birds migrating earlier, a town's rising rents, a sudden drop in accidents.
Many LSAT questions present a surprising phenomenon and ask for the explanation that best resolves it.
The right answer accounts for all the given facts; wrong answers explain only part of them or add facts nobody gave you.
If an answer contradicts even one stated fact, it is wrong no matter how plausible it sounds.
