What is prediction?

A prediction is a claim about what will happen.

On the LSAT, predictions rest on assumptions that the future will look like the past: the trend continues, nothing important changes, the plan works as described.

Weaken a prediction by showing a change is coming or that the trend already broke.

Strengthen one by showing the conditions behind the trend are still in place.
