What is strengthen question?

A strengthen question asks you to pick the answer that makes the argument stronger.

The right answer adds a premise that helps the conclusion follow: it confirms an assumption, rules out an alternative explanation, or shows the evidence is representative.

The trap answers often strengthen the wrong conclusion, restate a premise, or bring in irrelevant facts. The test is simple: if the argument would be weaker without this answer, it is a strengthener.
