April LSAT 2027
The April 2027 LSAT is too late for the current admissions cycle but well placed as an early test for the next one.

What the April LSAT is good for
- April is ideal if you are applying in the NEXT fall cycle. A score by April 28 gives you the summer to retake if needed and your applications go in early with a score already in hand.
- Applicants who want the LSAT done before summer jobs or internships start often target April.
- If you tested in January or February and want one more try before the summer, April is six to ten weeks later - enough time to fix what went wrong.
Registration deadline guidance
Registration closes February 25, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. February is a short month; the deadline sneaks up.
Register in January so the deadline is handled before it is urgent.
LSAT Argumentative Writing opens March 31, 2027. Finish it during the first week it is open.
Score release timing
Scores from the April 2027 administration will be released April 28, 2027, about three weeks after the test window.
If you are starting now: a prep sketch
If you are starting now (mid-October) and targeting April, you have about six months - the base-building plan:
-
Months 1–2
Free diagnostic, then slow untimed fundamentals. LR question types one at a time; RC passage structure. No timed work yet.
-
Months 3–4
Untimed drilling by question type. Build accuracy before speed - accuracy is the ceiling speed can reach.
-
Months 5–6
Timed sections, then full practice tests. Weekly full test with same-day review.
-
Final week
Taper. Light review only.
