What the October LSAT is good for
- October is still early in the cycle. Scores arrive October 28, so you apply with a score in hand and before the bulk of deadlines.
- If an August or September test did not go the way you wanted, October is the natural retake with minimal disruption to your application timeline.
- October works well for early decision applicants: the score is out before most early deadlines.
Registration deadline guidance
For the 2026 administration, registration closed August 27, 2026 - about six weeks before the test window.
Register well before the deadline. Scheduling opens about two weeks before the deadline closes, and the best slots go fast.
If you need testing accommodations, the request deadline comes before registration closes. Plan for it.
Score release timing
Scores from the October 2026 administration were released October 28, 2026, about three weeks after the test window.
