February LSAT 2027
The February 2027 LSAT is a short two-day administration. It is the last test of the admissions cycle, and it is late for most deadlines.

What the February LSAT is good for
- February is late for most regular-decision deadlines, but scores arrive March 3, 2027 - still useful for waitlist movement, rolling-admissions schools, and applications with March or April deadlines.
- If you are applying next cycle instead, February is an excellent early test: a score in March gives you nine months to retake before fall applications.
- Some applicants take February as a final retake when a January test fell short, with six focused weeks in between.
Registration deadline guidance
Registration closes December 29, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern - two days after Christmas, when almost nobody remembers to do administrative tasks.
Register in early December, before the holidays swallow your attention. Set a phone reminder now.
LSAT Argumentative Writing opens February 4, 2027. Complete it before scores release.
Note: LSAC also runs a separate Spanish-language LSAT–Puerto Rico administration February 18–20, 2027. That is a different registration.
Score release timing
Scores from the February 2027 administration will be released March 3, 2027, about three weeks after the test window.
If you are starting now: a prep sketch
If you are starting now (mid-October) and targeting February:
-
Weeks 1–3
Free diagnostic and untimed fundamentals. The extra month compared to a January plan goes here - do not rush the base.
-
Weeks 4–10
Untimed drilling by question type, heaviest on your weakest areas. Seven weeks is enough to fix real weaknesses, not just polish.
-
Weeks 11–15
Timed sections and full tests, one full test per week with same-day review.
-
Final 5 days
Taper. Sleep and light review only.
